CONCEPT & GOALS

The direction focused on merging two worlds: the elegance and mystery of festival masks with a more stylized, cinematic art style. The client wanted the illustrations to feel iconic and instantly recognizable, forming the backbone of the event’s promotional identity.

PROCESS

The project began with research into mask silhouettes, character exaggeration, and geometric styling. I developed early sketches, refined linework, and built a consistent shading and texture system. Each character illustration was designed in a flat, geometric style supported by a shared colour palette and consistent structural rules, all defined clearly in the final brand book.
